Sept 10-14, 2012

I've really enjoyed getting to know these new sixth graders!  It's been a full week, and they are doing great.  Students are figuring out their schedules and where they need to be each hour.  In class we will be finishing handing out textbooks, writing academic goals for the quarter, visiting the library media center for a tour and book check out, and taking a diagnostic test.   The information I gather from the test will be used to create individualized work folders that should meet the needs of each student's abilities.  We will be working in these folders in class through-out the year.  Whenever I say we have "folders", those are what we will be using.
